Why I Choose Simplicity – Unapologetically Me
Why I Choose Simplicity – Unapologetically Me
I’ve never been the kind of person who defined myself by what I wore, who I associated with, where I went, or how much I had. These things never held much weight for me. I never really cared about what others thought of me or the choices I made, because I understood early on that those external labels didn’t define who I truly was. What mattered most to me was staying true to myself, resisting the temptation to fit into boxes simply to please others or to conform to someone else’s expectations.
As a child, yes, I likely tried to please my parents, following the path they envisioned for me, but as I grew older, I realized that I had my own voice, my own thoughts, and my own sense of self that was uniquely different. That understanding sparked something in me—a desire to honor my inner truth, to trust my own instincts, and to make choices that resonated with my heart, not just the world around me. It was a turning point where I learned that the most powerful thing I could do was embrace my individuality and live authentically, regardless of the judgments or expectations of others.
From my earliest days, I felt drawn to simplicity—not because it was trendy, but because it made sense. I’ve always been fascinated by the simple things—how we can be proactive in healing without relying solely on medicine, how moderation in our choices creates balance in all areas of life, and how, instead of seeking solutions everywhere, we can find them within ourselves. It hasn’t always been easy. There were times when making these hard decisions left me feeling alone, isolated even. But it was precisely those moments of solitude and inner conflict that built resilience and a deep strength within me—strength that still carries me through life today.
I’ve always believed that our real beauty doesn’t come from the outside in—it comes from the inside out.
Our energy speaks louder than any outward expression ever could.
And balance—between body, mind, and soul—is the most stylish thing we’ll ever wear. It’s this harmony that becomes our most authentic and timeless style, one that radiates from the inside out
A little example to explain me...
The first time I tasted sourdough, I remember thinking, WOW! This is amazing. The tang, the crust, the complexity hidden in such a simple-looking slice. Most people might have asked, 'Where can I buy more?' But my mind went somewhere else entirely—I wanted to know what made it so unique and why it wasn’t readily available.
I dived in. I studied the process, nurtured my starter, made mistakes, learned patience, and eventually baked my first loaf. That experience was a perfect reflection of the way I approach life. I don’t crave convenience if it means missing out on the magic. I want to be part of the process. I want to understand it, to grow through it, and to enjoy the journey.
This same curiosity has shaped my entire life. When I studied computer science in 1986, the world of technology was largely unknown. But what captivated me was the mouse—how it moved on the screen. I had to know why it looked so foreign to me, why it was so intriguing. It’s this same drive that led me to formulate my own natural skincare, to study past life regression and hypnotherapy, and to prefer making things from scratch over buying the ready-made version. Not because it's easy or just to save money, but because it's about the process. It’s about learning, understanding, and mastering a skill that stays with me for life.
It’s about something deeper—something that opens up Pandora’s box to more and more possibilities. Each step in the journey teaches me something new about who I am, and each discovery leads me to the next.
Simplicity isn’t boring to me. It’s brilliant. It’s powerful. It’s where truth lives. Just like the quiet process of tending to plants. When I propagate a cutting, there’s a special kind of joy in watching it take root, seeing the first signs of life, and nurturing it until it flourishes in its new pot. That sense of growth, of something coming to life from just a little care and attention, is profound to me. It’s a reminder that beauty doesn’t have to be complicated—it can be simple, slow, and deeply fulfilling.
And balance? It’s my compass. Not the kind that demands perfection, but the kind that feels like home. It’s the simplicity of following my heart and trusting my intuition. When I listen to what my gut tells me, I find a natural balance in all areas of life—whether it’s work, family, alone time, creative pursuits, or meaningful connections. I’ve also learned not to be harsh with myself or too judgmental. The more I allow things to flow, the happier I am. It’s not about forcing things to fit into a rigid schedule, but about trusting that the right balance will reveal itself when I follow what feels true to me. It’s a dance—between intuition and action, between stillness and engagement—and I’ve found that balance, led by simplicity and self-compassion, is where my happiness truly resides.
I’ve learned that when you live with intention—gently, consciously, with curiosity and care—there’s a quiet energy you bring into the world. It’s not about trying to be something you're not, but about simply being present and true. Clients I’ve never met in person often tell me they feel a connection, that our conversation uplifts and energizes them. They may not always be able to explain it, but they feel a sense of calm, grounded-ness, and positivity. It’s a subtle presence that comes from being aligned with who you are, and from allowing things to flow naturally, without forcing them.
That’s the kind of simplicity and beauty I believe in.
I want that to be my essence.
I want my energy to be my style.
My health to be my confidence.
And my heart to be what leaves the deepest impression.
To those who are finding their own rhythm, questioning the norm, choosing intuitively, and craving balance—I see you.
Keep exploring. Keep simplifying. Keep becoming.
There’s so much power in being true to you, in walking your own path with intention and authenticity. .
Lots of love always
